Product Overview
The AKSA AC550 is a diesel generating set built for dependable standby and prime power use across commercial, industrial, agricultural, construction, workshop, and backup power applications. It delivers 550 kVA / 440 kW standby power and 500 kVA / 400 kW prime power, making it suitable for sites that require stable 50Hz, 3-phase electrical supply.
Powered by a Cummins QSX15-G8 diesel engine, the AC550 uses a 6-cylinder, 14.9-litre, turbocharged and charge-air-cooled diesel engine running at 1500rpm. The engine features XPI fuel injection, HPCR high-pressure common rail fuel pump, ECM governor control, dry-type air filtration, water cooling, and a 24V DC electrical starting system.
The generator is supplied with a Mecc Alte ECO 40-3S/4 C alternator, offering reliable brushless operation and stable output for general electrical loads and sensitive equipment used in standby and prime power applications.
Control and protection are handled by the DSE7320 control panel, which monitors generator voltage, current, frequency, battery voltage, engine oil pressure, coolant temperature, running hours, operating status, alarms, and shutdown conditions. The unit is available in open or MS80 canopy configuration for different installation requirements.
