Product Overview

The AKSA APD450A is a diesel generating set designed for dependable standby and prime power use across commercial premises, farms, workshops, site facilities, industrial units, construction sites, and general backup power applications. It delivers 450 kVA / 360 kW standby power and 410 kVA / 328 kW prime power, making it suitable for installations requiring stable 400/230V, 50Hz, 3-phase electrical supply.

Powered by an AKSA A6CRX116TI diesel engine, the APD450A uses a 6-cylinder, 11.596-litre, in-line diesel engine running at 1500rpm. The engine is turbocharged with air-to-air intercooling, water cooled, and fitted with direct injection fuel system, electronic governor control, replaceable fuel filter, oil filter, dry element air filter, cooling radiator and fan, starter battery system, flexible fuel connection hoses, manual oil sump drain valve, industrial exhaust silencer, steel bellows, jacket water heater on automatic models, and a 12/24V DC starter and charge alternator system.

The generator is supplied with a brushless single-bearing alternator with revolving field design, 2/3 pitch stator, flexible disc rotor, Class H insulation, self-excitation, self-regulation, solid-state automatic voltage regulation, tropicalised epoxy varnish impregnation, and direct-drive centrifugal blower cooling. This supports stable electrical output for commercial and industrial standby and prime power loads.

Control and protection are handled by the DSE7320 control panel. The controller supports automatic mains failure operation, generator monitoring, mains and generator voltage monitoring, current monitoring, frequency monitoring, engine oil pressure, coolant temperature, battery voltage, running hours, generator kVA, kWh, kW percentage, power factor, alarm indication, and shutdown protection. The APD450A is available in open or sound-attenuated canopy configuration depending on installation requirements.
