Product Overview

The AKSA APD165A is a diesel generating set designed for dependable standby and prime power use across commercial premises, farms, workshops, site cabins, light industrial units, construction sites, and general backup power applications. It delivers 165 kVA / 132 kW standby power and 150 kVA / 120 kW prime power, making it suitable for installations requiring stable 400/230V, 50Hz, 3-phase electrical supply.

Powered by an AKSA A6CRX65TI diesel engine, the APD165A uses a 6-cylinder, 6.49-litre, in-line diesel engine running at 1500rpm. The engine is turbocharged with intercooler, water cooled, and fitted with direct injection fuel system, electronic governor control, replaceable fuel filter, oil filter, dry element air filter, cooling radiator and fan, starter battery system, flexible fuel connection hoses, manual oil sump drain valve, industrial exhaust silencer, steel bellows, and a 12/24V DC starter and charge alternator system.

The generator is supplied with a brushless single-bearing alternator with revolving field design, 2/3 pitch stator, flexible disc rotor, Class H insulation, self-excitation, self-regulation, solid-state automatic voltage regulation, and direct-drive centrifugal blower cooling. This supports stable electrical output for standby and prime power loads.

Control and protection are handled by the DSE6120 control panel. The controller monitors mains supply, generator voltage, current, frequency, engine oil pressure, coolant temperature, battery voltage, running hours, alarms, and shutdown conditions. The APD165A is available in open or sound-attenuated canopy configuration depending on installation requirements.
